Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement (RQF)

A leading qualification for those who assess vocational skills in non-work environments.

Vocational learning doesn’t just mean the workplace. For more and more learners, it takes place in an environment away from the workplace.

The Highfield Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement (RQF) is aimed specifically at those who assess vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in non-work environments, such as workshops, classrooms or other situations.

Designed to support a role in the workplace, the qualification covers a variety of assessment methods such as:

Assessments of the learner in simulated environments
Skills tests
Oral and written questions
Assignments
Projects
Case studies
Recognising prior learning
The modules covered are:

Understanding the principles and practices of assessment
Assess vocational skills, knowledge and understanding

The only qualification on the market that will give you an understanding of end-point assessment (EPA).

End-Point Assessment (EPA) is the way in which apprentices are assessed at the end of their programme. Previously, apprentices were continuously assessed throughout their learning. With EPA, apprentices now have their work and competence assessed at the end of their learning, against ‘apprenticeship standards’ established by groups of employers, educators and sector organisations known as ‘apprenticeship trailblazers’.

The Highfield Level 3 Award in Undertaking End-Point Assessment (RQF) is the only qualification on the market that provides a better understanding of this important process. It has been designed specifically to support a role in the workplace and will provide the specific knowledge and skills needed to undertake EPA.

It is ideal for those who have sector competence within the areas of approved apprenticeship standards and who want a more specialised understanding of EPA assessment processes and practices, and has been designed to cover the assessment methods used in the majority of apprenticeships.

Topics included:

Understand the principles and practices of end-point assessment as part of an apprenticeship standard
Understand different types and methods of end-point assessment
Know how to plan end-point assessments in line with the apprenticeship standard and assessment plan
Be able to make end-point assessment decisions
Understand quality assurance of the end-point assessment process

A comprehensive qualification for assessing in both work and non-work environments.

Vocational learning can take place in a variety of environments, depending on the needs of the learner and the employer. It’s therefore important to be able to assess vocational achievement where it is carried out as required.

The Highfield Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (RQF) has been developed by Highfield’s very own vocational learning experts for those who assess both occupational competence in the work environment and vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in a workshop, classroom or other training environments.

The qualification will support a role in the workplace, and will provide a broad understanding of the subject, making it ideal for anyone working in an assessment role.

Topics covered include:

Understanding the principles and practices of assessment
Assess occupational competence in the work environment
Assess vocational skills, knowledge and understanding
